Hello! My name is Dr. Sherry Cooper and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the states of Florida (MT 3803), Colorado (MFT.0002301), Vermont (100.0134155TELE) and South Carolina (502).  I am also a qualified supervisor (FL) for registered marriage and family therapy interns and mental health counselor interns.

You will need to physically be in the state of Florida, Colorado, Vermont or South Carolina at the time of any service provided.

I provide therapeutic services to individuals (age 18+), couples, and families who are looking for change in their lives.   I am a trauma informed therapist.  I understand the impact trauma can have on relationships, self-esteem, brain development and growth.  Helping you to understand the impact of trauma is important.

I am a sex positive, gender affirming therapist who is comfortable, experienced, and trained in working with people in non-traditional relationships.  My goal is to help you live the life you seek.  There is no judgment or shaming from Dr. Cooper in therapy.  You are fully accepted and welcomed.

I take an individualized approach to therapy. I choose the therapeutic approach that I feel best fits my client.  However, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy are my primary approaches to treatment.  With almost twenty years of experience in the mental health field I have learned multiple evidenced based techniques that have been beneficial to my clients. I'd love to be able to help you meet your personal goals.
